Internships and other practical experiences are forms of EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING that integrate knowledge and theory from the classroom with practical application and skill development in a professional setting. Your summer experiences provide you with an opportunity to explore your interests, develop insight into various career fields, and build your skill set. If you've secured an unpaid internship, your experience will be valuable, but could involve some personal expense. These costs may include travel to and from your destination, housing, living expenses, and/or tuition for internship credit. To help, the University offers several scholarship awards to support students doing unpaid internships or research.

The Career Center can help you identify funding opportunities to support your internship. Use the list below as you begin to explore funding sources that are both internal and external to the University.
